It is easy to create your organization in Ziik. This will enable automation and highly efficient top-down communication in your organization.
☝️Before you begin
- You need to have the permissions to create Units.
- It is essential to create your organization in Ziik before you create your User Types and adding any content.
- Don't have any sub-units? If your company consists of one single unit you can ignore this article.
About top-down communication in Ziik
With permissions to share with your organization you can create posts and share these with your own part of the organization by selecting which units you wish to share with and which user types you wish to share your posts with.
Example: Top Management
You are a part of the management team in the top of your organisation. When you are located at this place in your organization you can share your posts with the entire or selected parts of the organization. That's your choice!
Example: Middle Management
You are a part of the middle management in your organization. When you are located at this level in your organization you can share your posts with your own branch or selected parts of your own branch.
Example: Local Management
Your are a part of the local management team in your organization. When you are located at this level in your organization you can still share posts with the different user types in your own local unit.
Build your organisation with units in Ziik
In Ziik you build your organization with units. Each user can belong to one or more units.
What is a Unit?
A unit is typically a physical location such as a restaurant, shop, office, factory, warehouse, shop or similar.
Create your first Unit
You will find Units under the feature Contacts, navigate to the top bar and click Units.
In your top right corner you have the option to "create unit". Click it.
Add one unit at a time (easiest)
Fill in the name, select the parent unit and press "save".
Important notice about Parent Unit
The units are sorted after our Top-down structure. Normally, it resembles the organizational chart so that all information is directed towards the right user.
Add Units in bulk (large organizations)
Click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner and click on "import".
In the new menu, read the instructions on how to import units and download the excel file by clicking "You can download an example excel file...".
- Fill in the excel file accordingly, and once completed, drag-and-drop or upload the excel file to the same place where you downloaded the file.
- Match the headers/properties with the document.
- Click Import and your units will now be added.
After you have added the Unit
You can add more information to the unit if you would like, everything from opening hours to uploading a profile picture. Locate your newly created unit in the list and click it, then follow the instructions here.
