Sharing logic
Enabling the File Drive feature in Ziik lets users create and share folders from their branch in the organisation.
- Head-office staff can share files with the entire organisation
- Local managers can share files with their own teams in their own branch
Permissions
No specific permission is required to create a folder. Instead, permissions are set on each folder. When creating a folder, you can choose assign the following permissions:
- Can read
- Users can see and download content in the folder, but not upload or change any settings
- Can upload
- Users can see and download content in the folder, upload new content in it, but not change any settings
- Can manage
- Users can see and download content in the folder, upload new content in it, and change settings such as name, sharing configuration, and permissions

How to create a folder
1. Go to Files in the left hand menu
2. Click Create folder
3. Name the folder, select who should have access to it, and choose what permissions selected roles and users should be assigned.
Name: Name your folder, for example, "Marketing Material".
Units & Roles: Choose what roles in which units that should be granted access to this folder.
Select Users: If you want to share the folder with specific individuals. You can give individuals access in addition to the units and roles you have already selected, or choose to share the folder only with selected individuals.
Give permissions: For each role and individual given access, assign their permissions.
How to create sub folders
Inside a folder, you and users with "Can upload" or "Can manage" permission can create sub folders. Sub folders can be shared with the same units/roles/users as the folder it is located in, or only with some of them.
Access to a sub folder can not be given to those who lack access to the folder it is located inside.
In a folder structure, access can be narrowed down in sub folders, but never expanded.
How to add files
You and users with "Can upload" or "Can manage" permission can add files to a folder.
1. Inside a folder, click Add files, or drag and drop files from your device.
How to view folder access
To see what users a folder is shared with:
1. Click the three dots to the right of a folder
2. Click Who can see?

How to access Files
Go to your device's homescreen and tap on the Files icon.
How to create a folder
1. Enter Files from the homescreen
2. Tap on the icon that looks like a folder in the top bar
3. Name the folder, select who should have access to it, and choose what permissions selected roles and users should be assigned.
Name: Name your folder, for example, "Marketing Material".

1. Inside a folder, open the menu located in the top bar
2. Click Create folder
How to add files
1. Open the top menu in a folder by clicking the three dots
2. Click "Add files"
3. Choose the location from where you would like to retrieve your files.
View folder access
Need to review the sharing settings of a folder? To review the sharing settings of a folder, simply access the menu in the top bar and choose the "Access" option.
Now you have the ability to view the folder's creator and see who has access to it.
