      What you need to know about permissions

      • Only Users with User permission can import New Users

      • Users with User permission can import Users in their own Unit and all Units below in their own branch in your organization.

      Go to contacts and select "Import".


      We recommend that you download View example in Microsoft Excel.

      Important note!

      You must ensure that there is only static values in the cells imported (no references should be used in the cells).

      The following fields are mandatory when importing your Users:

      1. First Name
      2. Last Name
      3. E-mail
      4. Unit: It is important that the name is identical to the name in Ziik. If User belongs to more Unit this must be handled in Ziik afterwards.
      5. Role: It is important that the name is identical to the name in Ziik. If User has more roles this must be handled in Ziik afterwards.



      Press Select document and map the column names in the file, to values in Ziik, via the dropdowns:

      The following fields are mandatory when importing your Users:

      • First Name
      • Last Name
      • E-mail
      • Unit: It is important that you have a Unit in Ziik with the same name. If the Unit can not be found in Ziik, the user will be skipped in the import. 
      Users with more than one Unit Membership  must be handled in Ziik afterwards.
      • Role: It is important that you have Roles in Ziik with the same name.  If the Role cannot be found in Ziik, the user will be skipped in the import.

      The following apply to the following optional fields for import of Users:

      • Birthday: The users birthday should be in YYYY-MM-DD format, if it doesn't match, it will not be set. (But please note that e.g. January 2, 1978 written as 1978-02-01 will resemble the correct format and will be erroneously imported as February 1, 1978.)
      • Language: Imported users will be given the Ziik-sites default language. Updated users will be given the Ziik-sites default language, if they haven't chosen a language themselves.


      If the user already exists in Ziik

      If the user already exists in Ziik (searched for by email, within the logged into Ziik-site.), then the user will be updated. This will remove/replace all Roles and Unit Memberships the updated user has.
